Here are some important dates to keep in mind no matter what Penn State campus you choose to attend, including when we recommend you fill out a FAFSA, and when you will schedule classes. Our timeline is also available for download [PDF].

December

Students and parents should obtain Federal Student Aid PINs (Personal Identification Number) to e-sign the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or renewal FAFSA. Request your PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.

You can accept your offer and pay your acceptance fees online through MyPennState starting ten days after an offer has been extended to you.

January

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web, available after January 1.

Submit the FAFSA by February 15 for maximum student aid consideration.

Penn State begins to send first-year students Student Financial Aid Award Notifications. Carefully review the notification and the information the Office of Student Aid website.

April - July

First-Year Testing counseling and Advising Program (FTCAP) begins for those who have paid their enrollment deposits. This comprehensive program includes testing, advising and class scheduling and is required for all first-year students. Students will also receive a Penn State Access Account. May 1

National Candidate Reply Date: This is the date by which Penn State asks you to accept your offer of admission. You can accept your offer and pay your acceptance fees online through MyPennState starting ten days after an offer has been extended to you.

July

Fall semester tuition bill (eBill) is sent to students through their Penn State email accounts.

August
