Information about how to prove Pennsylvania residency for tuition purposes
After you've applied for admission, please send the following documentation to us at the Undergraduate Admissions Office using the mail or fax contact information at the bottom of this page, and be sure to include your full name and Penn State ID or MyPennState user ID.
Students 21 and under
- Copy of your parents' lease or deed
- Copy of the first page of their Federal and Pennsylvania income tax returns for the most recent year (you may block out financial information)
Adult students
- Copy of your lease or deed
- Copy of the first page of your Federal and Pennsylvania income tax returns for the most recent year (you may block out financial information
Active military personnel or dependents
- A copy of a recent Leave and Earnings statement showing Pennsylvania as the home of record
