To plan for the costs associated with a college education, you need information about your student financial aid package at Penn State.
Step 2
There are two ways for you to find out what student aid you can expect to receive at Penn State:
- The Early Aid Estimate provides preliminary information on the amount of student aid you can expect to receive at Penn State.
When: The Early Aid Estimate is available from October 15 through February 28 on Penn State's eLion system.
Where: To learn how to access the Early Aid Estimate, review Estimating Your Student Financial Aid Package from the Office of Student Aid.
- Your Student Aid Award Notification will provide you with detailed information on your student financial aid eligibility for federal loans and other aid programs.
When: Student financial aid award notification begins in mid-to-late March for the following academic year that starts in August. Notification continues throughout the academic year.
We recommend that you submit the FAFSA on the Web by February 15 for maximum consideration of all student aid programs.
