General Requirements

College of Communications:

Majors in the College of Communications may be started at any Penn State campus and are completed at Penn State University Park.(Unless otherwise noted.) Applicants with less than two years of course work will be asked to start at a Penn State campus and transition to Penn State University Park on completion of the entrance to major requirements for their intended major. Typically at the end of the sophomore year.

College of Communications: Baccalaureate Transfer Requirements

Advertising & Public Relations (AD PR)
(Start at any Campus and Finish: University Park)
No transfer admission to Advertising/Public Relations at University Park or Commonwealth Campuses.
Communications (COMM)
(Start at any Campus and Finish: University Park):
Communications (Undecided): Available for transfer applicants with less than two (2) years of course work at another University or College. For University Park: A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 is required for all College of Communication majors.
Digital Journalism and Media (DGJRM_BA)
(Start at any campus and Finish: World Campus)
No additional requirements
Film and Video (FILM)
(Start at any Campus and Finish: University Park)
No transfer admission to Film and Video.
Journalism (JOURN)
(Start at any Campus and Finish: University Park)
For University Park: A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 is required for all College of Communication majors.
Media Studies (MEDIA)
(Start at any Campus and Finish: University Park)
For University Park: A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 is required for all College of Communication majors.
