Ten of Penn State’s twenty undergraduate campuses offer University-owned housing:

- Penn State Erie
- Penn State Greater Allegheny
- Penn State Harrisburg
- Penn State Hazleton
- Penn State Mont Alto
- Penn State Schuylkill
- Penn State University Park
First-year students at University Park are required to live on campus and are guaranteed housing. For the other campuses, housing is typically on a first-come, first-served basis. Transfer students may request on-campus housing at any campus that offers housing, but are permitted to live off campus. Every Penn State campus has privately owned housing in the communities they serve.
