Getting to Know Penn State

From the North:
(Northern PA and New York State) 

• Get on Interstate 81 South.
• Take I-81 South to the West Hazleton exit (#145)
• Bear right off the exit onto Route 93 south and proceed for 1/4 mile. 
• Turn left into the campus.

From the South:
(Philadelphia Area) 

The easy way:

• Travel north on the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike.
• Take exit 95 (Pocono exit) and head west on Interstate 80.
• Go to the Interstate 81 interchange (Exit 260A).
• Take I-81 South to the West Hazleton exit (exit #145)
• Bear right off the exit onto Route 93 South and proceed for 1/4 mile.
• Turn left into the campus.

The shorter way:

• Get on the Northeast extension of the PA Turnpike.
• Take exit 74 (Mahoning Valley) and get on Route 209 South.
• Follow 209 South to 93 North.
• Route 93 North will take you through Hazleton.
• You'll pass a Lowe's store on the left.
• Further on, the Laurel Mall will be on your right.
• The second light after the Laurel Mall is the light for the campus.
• Make a right onto campus. Note Routes 209 and 93 are two-lane roads.

(Harrisburg Area)

• Get on Interstate 81 North.
• Take I-81 North to the West Hazleton exit (#145).
• Bear right off the exit onto Route 93 South and proceed for 1/4 mile.
• Turn left into the campus.

From the East:
(New Jersey and New York City) 

• Get on Interstate 80 West.
• Go to the Interstate 81 interchange (Exit 260A).
• Take I-81 South to the West Hazleton exit (#145)
• Bear right off the exit onto Route 93 South and proceed for 1/4 mile.
• Turn left into the campus.

From the West:
(Central PA and Ohio) 

• Follow Interstate 80 East.
• Get off at the Conyngham/Nescopeck exit (#256) and head south on Route 93.
• Route 93 South will take you through Conyngham and up a large hill.
• At the top of the hill, you'll go through two traffic lights at the junction for I-81.
• Turn left at the next traffic light onto campus.
