Sherveen “Shevy” Karbasi is a Penn State biology graduate and CEO of his own business, Moichor. His business idea grew out of a personal experience. While his grandfather was undergoing cancer treatment, he often had to make repeated trips to the hospital for bloodwork despite having a compromised immune system and feeling exhausted. Knowing there had to be an easier solution, Karbasi had an idea to develop a smartphone app capable of delivering blood work results from a patient’s home to their doctor. Leveraging Penn State’s world-class research enterprise and entrepreneurial resources available through Invent Penn State, he turned this idea into reality.
