We have received a number of messages from our applicants and admitted students regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We want you to know we are thinking about you during this time.
Penn State wants to help support our future students impacted by the outbreak. We understand that fulfilling all parts of the application process may be difficult at this time, so we will remain flexible and continue accepting student application materials up to Penn State’s official decision day of May 1, 2020. We are here to help you as you work through the undergraduate admissions application process for Penn State. Please be assured that your health and safety, and the health and safety of the entire Penn State community is of utmost importance to us.
To that end and with an abundance of caution in protecting all members of the Penn State community, Penn State has announced that all activities relating to Admitted Student Programs, Prospective Student events, and campus visitation will be suspended through May 15. The Duolingo English Test (DET) is temporarily being accepted as an approved examination for English proficiency for summer and fall 2020. Applicants may submit DET results as their proof of English proficiency. A minimum score of 105 is required.
