The best way to learn more about Penn State University Park is to visit! And, if you are a high school student ready to put yourself in the shoes of a Penn Stater, then join us for Life@State! This program is most beneficial for Prospective students with a clear academic interest area or decided program of study.
During your visit, you will be paired with a Penn State undergraduate in a major related to your academic interests and explore the unique opportunities available to you at Penn State. Life@State participants will attend classes with their student mentors and 1-2 other prospective students with similar interests, get a feel for life outside the classroom, and enjoy lunch at a dining commons.
While students are experiencing Penn State life, family members and other visitors can participate in an optional campus tour and have lunch on campus.
When registering, please provide your academic area of interest and extracurricular activities so we can better prepare for your shadow visit. Please note: Students will be paired as best as possible with a host student. Academic programs will not always be an exact match, but the classroom experience, as well as the time spent with the student host, will still be helpful.
Reservations are required for these sessions and they tend to fill quickly, so make your plans and act soon. We look forward to showing you all that Penn State has to offer as you explore your college options. See you on campus soon!
