Our job is to help students successfully navigate the transition from high school to college. We serve as Pittsburgh’s local Penn State resource, with information about all 20 Penn State undergraduate campuses as well as general college access information.
In all our efforts, we support Penn State's goal of increasing the diversity of its student body. As committed members of the Pittsburgh community, we strive to increase college access for all Pittsburgh students.
Penn State Admissions-Pittsburgh holds workshops, bus trips, and other events throughout the year. These programs are designed to highlight the benefits of attending Penn State, but also provide general guidance on the college admission process. We would love to have you join us!
Our virtual experiences will connect prospective students with Penn State to learn more about the admissions process, academic program options, student engagement opportunities and what it is like to become part of the Penn State community.
Students and families can connect with an admissions counselor to discuss questions related to the application or enrollment process. An admissions counselor will connect with you via Zoom and will discuss next steps and additional resources available to help you join the Penn State community.
Our office hosts workshops on preparing for the SAT, completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and more.
Each fall and spring, we provide opportunities for Pittsburgh-area students to visit Penn State’s campuses across Pennsylvania. Round trip transportation is to the campus from our office near the David L. Lawrence convention center in downtown Pittsburgh.
When you get involved on campus, get involved in things that are orientated around your academic interests so it becomes a form of engaged scholarship
