The Admissions Strategic Partnerships team holds events, travels to meet with future Penn Staters across the U.S., and serves as a liaison to other Penn State offices including the Vice Provost for Educational Equity and the Multicultural Resource Center.
Admissions Strategic Partnerships events bring students from throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states to Penn State University Park to experience everything that the campus has to offer. Our main programs include:
Held in conjunction with our Spend a Summer Day events, this overnight program provides a glimpse into everything Penn State has to offer. Prospective students and their families stay overnight in a residence hall and attend the Spend a Summer Day open house. Meals and lodging, and transportation are provided for a small fee.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, students enjoy a day full of Latinx unity and learn all about what Penn State has to offer! The event includes a campus tour, academic information sessions, student resources, college readiness presentations and a chance to meet current student leaders from multicultural student organizations.

This event is intended for students who have applied to Penn State and are looking for more information about financial aid and other next steps in the admission process. Spend a Fall Day is planned for high school seniors who have maintained a minimum of a 3.0 grade-point-average (83% or B average) from grades 9-11; students must provide confirmation of a submitted application prior to attending.
In honor of Black History Month, students throughout Pennsylvania gather at Penn State University Park to celebrate the significance of African American history and how they can make our University stronger, together. The event includes campus tours and social activities with our multicultural student ambassadors.
Penn State Achievers recognizes students who are offered admission to the University Park campus and showcases the breadth of our multicultural student organizations and campus life. With the support of our student organizations, students begin building their social and academic networks with each other, faculty, and staff that continue for years to come.
