Growing up in York County, PA, Nicole Guise learned early on the offerings available to her through Penn State, especially at the York campus. Not only did she find academic rigor in her honors coursework, but she also discovered that she could enhance her learning well beyond the classroom. Through the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership she networked with the York business community through her internship with an area nonprofit. Guise also took advantage of connecting with Penn State York faculty research projects, which helped to prepare her to conduct her own research as part of an honors thesis she is now completing at University Park.
