Campus York

Campus York

Penn State York is a dynamic, commuter campus with all the resources of a major research university. Our 51-acre campus includes six tennis courts, athletic fields, and several acres of woodland. Located in the rolling hills of south-central Pennsylvania, the campus overlooks the historic city of York. Our campus is also just a short drive from Baltimore, Maryland, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and only two hours from Washington, D.C. We are conveniently situated near many major attractions including the Gettysburg National Military Park, Lancaster’s Amish country, the state capital in Harrisburg, and fun-filled Hershey Park.

Penn State York enrolls about 740 students. The student to faculty ratio is 11:1. Our students come from, not only the local area, but many different states and countries all over the world. Although we are primarily a commuter campus, many of our students from outside of the local community live in nearby off-campus housing, with access to our public transportation system.
