Dates & Deadlines
Applicants are evaluated on a rolling admissions basis. Some academic programs have limited enrollment and specific application dates.
Admissions Dates for First-Year Students
Summer and Fall admission: The application for summer and fall admission is made available each year on September 1. We are currently accepting applications for summer and fall admission and require a complete application, including transcripts and test scores, in order to be evaluated for admission.
Note: The following program requires a complete application by November 30:
Spring admission: November 1. Applying after November 1, while acceptable, may limit your campus and major choices.
Schreyer Honors College: The Schreyer Honors College requires the completion of an additional application in addition to the Penn State Undergraduate Admissions application. The priority application date for the Schreyer Honors College is November 30, but applications may be submitted through January 15. Applicants will be notified of their Schreyer Honors College decision by mid-March.
Financial Aid Information: Penn State recommends that the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) be received by March 1 to receive maximum consideration for all types of student aid. The FAFSA is available online at fafsa.gov beginning January 1. The Office of Student Aid begins awarding financial aid packages in late March.
