Penn State New Kensington’s location in Upper Burrell Township offers easy access to the athletic, cultural, and arts events in downtown Pittsburgh, and multiple hiking and nature trails.

The campus provides students with a safe environment that encourages academic and personal success. Throughout the year, students enjoy a variety of cultural and entertainment-related opportunities including concerts, plays, community service trips, and other special events.

Penn State New Kensington offers students the personal attention of a small college environment along with the academics, programming, and other opportunities of one of the largest public research institutions. Students enjoy benefits such as small class sizes; research opportunities; access to full-time career services, learning support, and peer tutoring; and opportunities to participate in innovative new programming through the new Corner Launchbox Entrepreneurial Center.
