Residence Halls Safety

A commitment to safety helps make on-campus living a place where students can feel welcome and thrive.

A safe environment makes for a healthy place to live and learn.

Our Residence Life staff is committed to providing students with a safe and secure environment that will help them be successful and responsible members of the Penn State community.

Security in residence halls is provided in a number of ways, but it is important that every student be aware of their environment and make good decisions about their own safety and that of their neighbors.

It is also the responsibility of students to abide by the University's Code of Conduct. The code aligns with the Penn State Principles, core community values that make the University a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive place for scholarship and engagement.

Information about on-campus safety, including statistics and resources related to all 20 undergraduate campuses, is available to all members of the Penn State community.
