Alert Date to Accept Offers of Admission Extended to May 15

Penn State will extend its offer acceptance deadline from May 1 to May 15, 2024, for incoming first-year students enrolling in the summer or fall 2024 terms.

Visit Information for Transfer Students

Penn State offers specialized visits for prospective students transferring from another college or university. You are a transfer student if you have attempted or completed 18 or more credits at another college or university after high school graduation. To help you narrow down your intended campus and program, review the Transfer Eligibility Requirements by major page to ensure your desired campus and program are available.

Whatever campus or program you have in mind, attending a visit will give you the chance to ask any questions and explore all the offerings of Penn State. We hope to see you on campus soon!

Transfer Visits to University Park

We host on-campus and virtual transfer visits. If you are a prospective transfer student and want to learn more about Penn State and University Park—including important aspects of the transfer application process like program eligibility and general information on transfer course evaluation—please join us for this session. Following the on-campus visit, you will tour campus. Although this visit focuses on University Park, we will explain the transfer admission process for all Penn State campuses.

All 20 of Penn State’s undergraduate campuses accept transfer students. If you are interested in visiting a Penn State campus other than University Park, please contact your Penn State campus of interest directly to schedule a visit. The visit opportunities vary by campus, but you will gain important knowledge of the application process and learn about the unique aspects of the campus you visit. Get started today:

While a presentation may answer many of your questions about transferring to Penn State, we know you might have more questions for us. Make an appointment to speak with an admissions counselor about transferring to Penn State.

Transfer Appointments at University Park

The Undergraduate Admission Office welcomes students interested in transferring to Penn State from another college or university. To meet an admissions counselor virtually, register for a virtual appointment. Additionally, you can stop by our office in 201 Shields Building Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST. During your appointment, you will meet with an admissions counselor who can answer general questions regarding admission for transfer students.

If you are interested in arranging an individual transfer appointment at one of Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses, please contact the admissions office at your campus of interest to arrange an appointment.
