We host transfer group presentations on scheduled Friday mornings each month. If you are a prospective transfer student and want to learn more about Penn State and University Park—including important aspects of the transfer application process like program eligibility and general information on transfer course evaluation—please join us for this hour-long presentation and discussion. Following the presentation, you will tour campus. Although this presentation focuses on University Park, we will explain the transfer admission process for all Penn State campuses. The Undergraduate Admission Office schedules transfer student appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. You can call 814-865-5471 to schedule an appointment ahead of time or stop by our office in 201 Shields Building at your convenience. During your visit, you will meet with an admissions counselor who can answer general questions regarding admission for transfer students. To schedule an appointment, contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office.
If you are interested in arranging an individual transfer appointment at one of Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses, please contact the admissions office at your campus of interest to arrange an appointment.
Throughout the year, Penn State participates in transfer college fairs held around the region. Please click the link below to check the schedule and determine if we will be attending a transfer college fair in your area. At these fairs, Penn State admissions representatives will be able to talk with you about your Penn State options and the admissions process.
Please be advised that a student’s tuition will increase when the Penn State transcript reflects 59.1 cumulative credits. Credits earned from tests, like AP or IB exams, are considered transfer credits and are included in the cumulative credit total. If the credits you are transferring or have transferred to Penn State place you above 59.1 cumulative credits after the start of the semester, your tuition will increase immediately.
