What is the tuition at Penn State?

How do I apply for financial aid?

To be eligible for financial aid, students must fill out a FAFSA form. Find more information by visiting the Office of Student Aid.

What are the room and board fees?

Room and board fees can be part of the cost of attending Penn State. Please review our Tuition information to find our current rates and explore our tools for estimating the cost of attendance at Penn State. 

Can I apply for a scholarship without being admitted?

Yes! Penn State encourages students to submit the FASFA for various merit and need-based aid opportunities. Students can also apply to additional internal and external scholarship opportunities prior to receiving an admissions decision. Please review our Penn State Scholarship Information

What is the Provost Award?

The Provost Award is a four-year award available to First Year students at Penn State’s 20 undergraduate campuses, excluding World Campus. Both Pennsylvania and non-Pennsylvania residents are considered for this award. Please review our Provost Award Information and eligibility criteria. 

What is the Discover Award?

The Discover Award is a four-year award available to First Year and transfer students who are residents of Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia, and who enroll at one of Penn State’s 19 Commonwealth Campuses (a campus other than the University Park campus and the World Campus).
